Local Tournament

The last local quiz meet of the season was a tournament which took place at Central Mennonite Church. There were a lot of close 15 question matches, with several going into overtime.

Meet #5 // February 28, 2016

West Clinton Mennonite Church hosted the final season meet--34 matches followed up by a fun match between some of the oldest quizzers, as well as team and individual awards. It was a full and exciting afternoon to finish up the five season meets.

Winning all five of their matches on Sunday, and averaging 129 points per match, was Charged from North Clinton. They also took 3rd place in the season with 17-5-2.

Sla(y)in Beasts from Tedrow came in 2nd place with an average score of 126 points per match for the final meet. They were also the 2nd place team for the season with an 18-5-1 record.

Right from the house church won all five of their matches on Sunday, coming in 3rd place with an average score of 122 points. They took first place for the season with a record of 21-2-1. Way to go!

Not pictured is The Mob from Pettisville Missionary Church, who finished the season in 4th place with 15-8-1.

Cara Foor (Hearts of Faith, North Clinton) and Will Nofziger (Royal, house church) made it through the season with perfect scores. This was Cara's first year as top individual after six years of being in Bible Quiz. Will, a second year quizzer, was also top individual in the 2015 season.

Meet #4 // February 21, 2016

Tedrow Mennonite Church hosted a full afternoon of quizzing along with the spirit day event. There were 34 matches over Acts 21-25, with each team quizzing in up to 6 matches.

Flame of Fire from Sonrise came in first place, averaging 119 points per match. 

Right from the house church came in second place at the meet with an average score of 114.7 points. Winning all 6 of their matches on Sunday put them in the lead for the overall season.

Acts Ray Vision from Eastland Baptist Church put a lot of effort into preparing for spirit day and were everyone's favorite. 

The Sojourners and Hearts of Faith were also among the top 3 chosen by the judges.

Meet #3 // February 7, 2016

Teams met at Central Mennonite Church to quiz over Acts 17-20. The afternoon provided a full schedule with a total of 29 matches in 6 time slots, and each team quizzing in 4-5 matches. Awards were given to the top 4 teams of the day, as well as the 4 teams who have earned the highest number of team bonuses for the season so far.

Charged from North Clinton had 4 wins and a tie, coming in first place with an average score of 123 points. They have also had 10 team bonuses for the season.

The second place team of the week is Sla(y)in Beasts from Tedrow Mennonite Church. Their average score was 111.25 points per match.

Acts Ray Vision from Eastland Baptist has earned team bonuses in a large majority of their matches.
