Meet #2 // January 15, 2017

West Clinton Mennonite Church hosted the second meet of Northwest Ohio's quizzing season on January 15th. The 13 teams quizzed in three round robins. The winners of each round robin are pictured below.

The first round robin included Secretly Feared (Central/House Church), The Guardians (North Clinton), Furious Rage (Pettisville Missionary), and Tedrow. Secretly Feared (front center) and The Guardians (back center) tied, each winning 2 and tying their match against each other.

In the second group were Unbound (Eastland Baptist), The Flaming Darts (North Clinton), Cosmic (Central/House Church), and Angels (Pettisville Missionary). Unbound (left) won their round robin.

The third round robin was made up of five teams: Chain of Gold (Sunrise), #blessedfools (Outback YFC), Four Flaming Foxes (North Clinton), The Voice (Eastland Baptist), and Lapping Dogs (West Clinton). The Chain of Gold (right) won all four of their matches.

The meet ended with a fun match between the rookie quizzers!

Meet #1 // January 8, 2017

The 2017 Bible Quiz season is officially underway after the meet at North Clinton Church on January 8th. This year there are 13 teams quizzing in the Northwest Ohio area from eight different churches. Quizzers will be studying three of Paul's New Testament epistles as well as four stories from the Old Testament. These include Galatians, Ephesians, Colossians, Daniel 1-6, Ruth, Judges 6-7 (Gideon), and Judges 13-16 (Samson). Teams will quiz in a double round robin, facing each other team twice over the course of six area meets. The local season will end with a mini tournament, followed by the Invitational in Lancaster, PA.

Pictured below are the top four teams from the first meet:

The Flaming Darts (North Clinton) took first place with an average score of 135 points in their 5 matches.

The Central/House Church team Secretly Feared came in second place, winning all 5 of their matches and averaging 131 points.

Furious Rage from Pettisville Missionary Church came in third place, also winning 5 matches and averaging 126 points.

The other Central/House Church team Cosmic came in fourth place, with an average score of 107 points per match.
